- David Parker, Head of Investment Promotion, Invest Hong Kong
David is a Welshman who previously worked for the Welsh Government and studied his MBA at the University of Glamorgan. David heads up InvestHK’s London office. InvestHK is the Government Department responsible for assisting new companies to set up in Hong Kong – Asia’s World City. In 2012, David and his team assisted 29 UK companies to set up or expand their operations in Hong Kong. These businesses were across multiple sectors but were largely SMEs and all shared a desire to grow their business in Hong Kong and/or use Hong Kong as a platform for China and the wider, fast growing, Asia market. David has over 20 years experience in economic development and over 10 years experience in inward investment. He has worked on projects and assignments across the world including most recently a three year posting to New York from 2008-11 and representing InvestHK’s interests in the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in 2012.
